Aug. 4, 2008—Building on CH2M HILL OMI’s recent string of safety awards, our people and projects have racked up 13 more awards to add to the growing list.
Most significant, employees at the DuPont Spruance industrial wastewater facility in Virginia were recently awarded the prestigious George W. Burke Facility Safety Award from the Water Environment Federation, which recognizes active and effective safety programs in municipal and industrial wastewater facilities. The award was established in 1982 in honor of George W. Burke Jr., who was instrumental in developing safety programs for WEF. In addition, the DuPont Spruance team recently celebrated 2,000 days without an accident.
“We are extremely proud to be selected by the Virginia Water Environment Association as the recipient of this award,” says Richard Wolf, project manager for CH2M HILL OMI at the DuPont Spruance site. "Congratulations to my project associates who go above and beyond each and every day. This truly was a team effort.”
