CH2M HILL OMI was founded in 1980 by CH2M HILL Companies Ltd. to meet the growing operations and maintenance needs of its water and wastewater customers. The company first delivered a variety of O&M consulting services, such as new facility startup and operator training. Soon after, the company began providing contract O&M services, taking on full responsibility for managing water and wastewater systems, including laboratory management, industrial pretreatment program management, meter reading, and billing and collection.
As the needs of our clients have expanded through the years, so have our capabilities. Beginning in the 1990s, the company expanded its services to provide industrial utility management and waste remediation services, as well as complete public works management. In 2005, the company once again expanded its capabilities, and today we have the systems, the experience and the people to successfully manage an entire community or city. Today, the 1,600 men and women of CH2M HILL OMI serve more than 120 clients at 200 sites in more than 30 U.S. states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
